Junior Tech Support

Department: Business Technology

At Blizzard Interactive we believe in the power of people. We are always looking for talented employees to join our team to help us grow our business. We are currently recruiting for a Junior Tech Support for our outbound call centre in the Surrey, British Columbia location.

As a Jr. Technical Support you must be able to communicate electronically and in person with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine and document problems experienced.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and managing user login accounts and email accounts
  • Phone system administration
  • Computer deployments
  • Hardware troubleshooting/repair/replacement
  • Software updates and patching
  • Various software installations (MS Office, Adobe, Lotus Notes)
  • Technical documentation
  • Desk moves and department moves
  • File permission changes and email group changes
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • To perform well in this role, you must have strong communication skills as well as a moderate knowledge of basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Six months of experience in a similar role an asset
  • Technical Diploma or Certificate
  • Solid MS Office knowledge
  • Knowledge of PC hardware troubleshooting – printers, laptops, desktops, scanners
  • Knowledge of software installation and troubleshooting – email applications, photo editors, antivirus
  • Understanding of networks and network hardware – switches, routers, wireless, TCP/IP
  • Understanding of PC imaging and corporate rollouts an asset
  • Phone system knowledge or experience – PBX administration, wiring, VOIP an asset
  • Knowledge of a Windows based infrastructure – Server 2000 and 2003 an asset
  • Technical certifications an asset – A+, Network+, MCP, MCSA
